On February 28th, 1967, Ralph G. Fernandez was the first child born to Ralph and Anna Fernandez. He was a fun, sweet, and adventurous boy. He loved the beach, swimming, biking, hiking, and rock climbing. From 1985 - 1990 after graduating high school, Ralph served in the military as a Navy Coreman, two years with the Marines. He loved the medical field and he definitely had a gift. He enjoyed physical challenges and helping others finish well.
From 1990+ he thrived in the physical therapy field. He was married to his sister's best friend, Cathy, and, in 1994, they had a beautiful daughter named Samantha.
In 1999, Ralph became a born-again Christian.

In 2006, Ralph became the Shoeshine Man of Siouxland and was in the Sioux City Journal and on the evening news for preaching the Gospel while humbly making scuffed up shoes shine.
In 2010, Ralph's wife, Christine, became born-again.
Ralph and Christine enjoyed over 14 amazing years of marriage. Ralph has gone onto eternity before his wife, Christine, his 3 daughters: Samantha, Esther, Hannah, his 3 sons: Elijah, Boaz, Zechariah, his mom Anna, his brother Joe, his sisters: Rebecca and Michelle, Aunt Gloria, Aunt Tina, and Uncle John. He prayed we would all be with Jesus, too.
